Until recently, sustainability officers have made the business case for responsible corporate action through a combination of anecdotes, qualitative risk analysis and cost savings. But convincing financial leaders requires doing the math to model effects on NPV, cost of capital, etc. Now the data for sustainability and the scenarios of impact are crystallizing to allow more compelling financial models of ESG risk. This session will explore the evolving field of ESG financial modeling and how to translate risk between sustainability experts and financial officers.
